Eni Storage Systems, the joint venture between Eni (50% plus one share) and Fib (50% minus one share, part of Seri Industrial), has initiated the permitting process for the Brindisi site dedicated to the production of stationary lithium batteries. The project aims to establish a hub with an annual capacity of over 8 GWh of LFP batteries produced using water-based processes, primarily for stationary energy storage.
